What Information to Share

Please be sure to send us all relevant information about the incident in your claim. This will save time when you meet with our representative. The more precise and useful the information is, the more quickly your claim will be processed. Here is the information you will need to provide:

  • Your Name
  • Address
  • Name of the Employee with Whom You Normally Do Business
  • Circumstances under Which the Incident Occurred
  • Date and Time of the Incident
  • List of Damages
  • Any Other Relevant Information

Remember to Include:

Your Preferred Means of Communication for Contact and Follow-Up (Phone or Email)

  • A Telephone Number Where You Can Be Reached during the Day
  • A Telephone Number Where You Can Be Reached in the Evening
  • The Email Address You Want Us to Use When Contacting You

Need assistance? If you require urgent assistance regarding your insurance, please contact Tailor Made Insurance directly at 780-467-2122. Even after regular business hours, thanks to our voice message system, we will get back to you immediately. Our business hours are 8:30 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

Typical emergencies requiring immediate assistance include:

  • Fire
  • Water escape (such as a burst pipe)
  • Explosions
  • Sewer back-up

Note: If you have an emergency, insurance policies generally require you to take measures to protect your property from further loss.

Tracking Your Claim

If you have submitted an insurance claim, here are three ways to check its progress:

  • Send us an email, remembering to give your insurance policy number and assigned claim number in your email.
  • Call our office and ask to speak with your Account Manager.
  • Contact the insurance company. We can refer you to the right person or we can contact the insurance company on your behalf.

Always have your insurance policy number and assigned claim number ready when you're checking your claim.

Are you an Intact Insurance client?

With an Intact Personal Home or Auto Policy*, Intact Insurance guarantees that within 30 minutes of calling our emergency claim number, you will be put in touch with a claims representative who can confirm your coverage and provide emergency support and crisis advice.

Emergency Expenses

Our representatives can contact the necessary suppliers on your behalf to carry out emergency repairs. They also can authorize payments for certain emergency expenses such as accommodation, clothing, and transportation.

Guaranteed Payment

If Intact Insurance is unable to live up to this Guarantee, they will write you a cheque for the amount of your annual premium up to a maximum of $1,000. This payment will not affect your coverage for the term of your policy.

*The Client Service Guarantee applies only to personal home and auto and commercial insurance policies.
